2021 Poster Session

Notre Dame graduate students and postdoctoral scholars presented energy-related research topics during the two poster sessions held during the 4th Annual ND Energy Research Symposium on June 3-4, 2021. We are delighted to recognize the students who shared their research projects and expertise as follows:

Session 1: June 3, 3:15 - 4:00 PM
  • Neha Mehra, graduate student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and member of the William Schneider research group, presented "Ethylene Oligomerization Catalyzed by Single-site, Oxide Supported Metal Catalysts: Interrogation by Density Functional Theory (DFT)"
  • Yujia Wang, graduate student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and member of the William Schneider research group, presented "First-principles Analysis of Dicopper Species in Zeolites for O2 Activation and Implications for Catalyst Optimization"

Session 2: June 4, 2:45 - 3:30 PM
  • Jishnudas Chakkamalayath, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and member of the Prashant Kamat research group, presented "Light Induced Expulsion of Gold from CsPbBr3-Au Hybrid Nanocrystals"
  • Anthony Kipkorir, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and member of the Prashant Kamat research group, presented "Designing Perovskite Heterostructure; Capping CsPbBr3 Quantum Dots (QDs) with CdS"
  • Jeffrey DuBose, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and member of the Prashant Kamat research group, presented "Energy Transfer in Perovskite Nanocrystals: Is it a Singlet or a Triplet?"
