2022 Energy Week
ND Energy is pleased to announce the 16th annual Notre Dame Energy Week Plus from Sunday, September 11, through Thursday, September 22, offering a broad range of topics and activities to raise awareness about climate change and creating a clean and sustainable energy future for generations to come. A snapshot is below with additional details on the event pages.
We hope you will join us for as many of the events as your schedule allows!
The week kicks off with Notre Dame students, faculty and staff viewing the documentary Wasted! The Story of Food Waste and participating in Weigh the Waste Nights in the North and South Dining Halls. Notre Dame students will explore career opportunities during the Notre Dame Sustainability Expo and hear from invited alumni about successful careers in renewable energy. Other presentations for all to attend include topics on urban climate change mitigation strategies, carbon capture, and Notre Dame’s sustainability goals. Notre Dame students, faculty and staff will continue learning about other innovative developments by attending guided tours to Crossroads Solar, Notre Dame Power Plant, and Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory. Lastly, Notre Dame students will participate in a traveling leadership training workshop by Notre Dame alumni and the founder of the Spirit of Football titled, One Ball, One World: Football Under the Climate Microscope.
