Notre Dame undergraduate students are invited to submit applications for the 2022 Vincent P. Slatt Fellowship for Undergraduate Research in Energy Systems and Processes. Students will perform energy-related research in collaboration with ND Energy faculty affiliates and receive awards of up to $5,000 each to support their research projects. Students are strongly encouraged to submit proposals for summer research to allow for greater concentration on their research projects without the distraction of classes and other extracurricular activities that occur throughout the academic year. Students with other plans for the summer may wish to apply for research to be conducted in the fall semester.

Students from other universities who are incoming juniors and seniors are also invited to apply for the 2022 Slatt Summer Research Experience. Slatt awards of $5,000 each will be paid to students as stipends and may be used to assist with travel, housing, meals, and other related expenses while conducting research projects at the University of Notre Dame during the summer program, which is scheduled from May 16 to July 23, 2022. Due to the limited number of awards, students from Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, and Xavier University of Louisiana are encouraged to apply and will be given priority over applicants from other institutions. 

The application deadline for 2022 Slatt fellowships is February 28, 2022. Awards will be announced in March 2022.
