Earth Week: ND-LEEF Tour

Earth Week 2023

The Office of Sustainability and the Environmental Change Initiative (ECI) are teaming up to offer the Notre Dame community a chance to tour the ND-LEEF facility at St. Pat's Park! Participating faculty, staff, and students will be guided through the facility, take a wildflower walk, and learn more about how ND-LEEF contributes to important wetland and watershed research. Space is limited, so don't wait to register! R.S.V.P. by visiting this link. Transportation to and from the park will be provided.

Did you know? Although they only cover about 6% of the Earth's land surface, 40% of all plant and animal species live or breed in wetlands. These lands are critical to people and nature, given the intrinsic value of these ecosystems, and their benefits and services, including their environmental, climate, ecological, social, economic, scientific, educational, cultural, recreational, and aesthetic contributions to sustainable development and human wellbeing.
