Craig Tapscott, Environmental Group Leader at Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA) in Lafayette, Indiana will describe his company's journey to becoming a Zero Landfill facility since 2004. According to Craig, this journey has allowed SIA to develop a strong, meaningful data management system for its waste generated. Currently, SIA is expanding its environmental program into a more comprehensive sustainability program that incorporates all environmental impacts of the facility's operations. This presentation will describe the metrics and communication tools developed to make this new sustainability paradigm successful at SIA.
Craig Tapscott received his B.S. in Environmental Science from Indiana University Bloomington in 2003 and in 2005 received a dual M.S. in Environmental Science and Public Affairs. He has been with Subaru of Indiana Automotive since 2011. Prior to then, he worked with the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works Office of Environmental Services and August Mack Environmental, a consulting firm in Indianapolis.
