2018 Social and Professional Development Events
Undergraduate students conducting summer research at Notre Dame also participated in social and professional development events sponsored by REU and Fellowship programs in the Colleges of Engineering and Science, The Graduate School, ND International, and ND Research. These activities provided networking opportunities for students and also focus on topics to enhance their research experience at Notre Dame.

2018 Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium
Students also participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium, which provided an opportunity for them to present their research project and sharpen their public speaking skills.
The 2018 symposium was held on Wednesday, July 25, from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. in the Jordan Hall of Science, Galleria. There were two poster sessions from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 10:45-11:45 a.m. Students from Analytical Chemistry, Center for Research Computing, Graduate School, ND Energy, NDnano, Wireless Institute, and St. Mary's College presented their summer research projects.

The 2018 REU and Fellowship programs include Analytical Chemistry REU, Biological Sciences REU, Center for Research Computing REU, The Graduate School Summer Programs, ND International iSURE, ND Energy Slatt Fellowships, NDnano NURF, Physics REU, Turbomachinery Laboratory Fellowships, and Wireless Institute REU.
