Research

Prof. Zhang directs the Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Lab (AMEL) at Notre Dame. His research focuses on thermal science and thermal energy conversion, clean and sustainable energy systems, additive and nano manufacturing of flexible devices for energy conversion and sensing.

Research Capabilities: Nanoparticle synthesis for thermoelectric and other energy related applications, additive manufacturing of energy conversion and storage devices using colloidal nanocrystals, and thermal and thermoelectric property characterization of nanostructured materials.
