Research
As the founder and director of DHARMA, Krusche specializes in 3D documentation of World Heritage Sites using advanced mapping techniques. She and her team document historic monuments and World Heritage Sites around the world with the use of Leica 3D laser scanners. These high-speed, long-range scanners are ideal for projects that are difficult to document by traditional methods and provide researchers with the most field-efficient means of data collection. She and her team also use 3D scanning to study aging effects on historic buildings and reconstruction processes of buildings with historical value. Beyond DHARMA, Krusche consults on conservation, urban planning and design. Her latest project is in Mumbai, India with the Mumbai Port Trust for the redevelopment of the Eastern Waterfront. She is also a partner at Backbay20, which is based in Mumbai, and is researching the impact of sea level rise in Mumbai and the development of the southern coast of the island city.
