The 15th annual Notre Dame Energy Week Plus was held September 17-30, 2021, offering various activities and discussions focused on the current energy landscape and future challenges and opportunities to create a clean and sustainable energy future for all.

Presentations
Energy Week kicked off on Friday, September 17, at 3:30 p.m. with a panel discussion of faculty experts from Notre Dame and Purdue titled, "Teaming Up Off the Field: Notre Dame and Purdue Research Collaborations". Other presentations throughout the month included "Building a Healthy Economy from the Bottom Up" by Anthony Flaccavento, "Energy and Emissions: Notre Dame’s Sustainability Goals" by Paul Kempf, and "My Major, My Path: How to Break into the Renewable Energy Industry" by a panel of career development experts. Presentations were free and open to the general public. Attendees adhered to University safety protocols and mask policy.
Tours
Guided tours and presentations were offered at various times throughout the month for Notre Dame students, faculty and staff only to places such as Crossroads Solar, Homestead Dairy, Portage Midtown Project, St. Joseph Solar Farm, and Notre Dame’s hydroelectric plant (still under construction) and East Plant. Space was limited. Registration was required.
Electric Vehicle Expo
In collaboration with the Notre Dame Office of Sustainability, City of South Bend, MACOG, and South Shore Clean Cities, an Electric Vehicle Expo was held on Saturday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at Innovation Park. A number of electric vehicles were on display for viewing and test driving. Owners and dealers were on hand to share their personal experiences and discuss the many environmental and economic benefits of driving an EV! Owners of EVs and hybrids were welcome to volunteer to display their vehicles and share their personal experiences with visitors. This event also kicked off National Drive Electric Week. This event was free and open to the general public. Attendees were expected to adhere to University safety protocols, including wearing masks inside campus buildings, regardless of vaccination status, and maintaining a safe distance (at least 6 feet). Masks are optional outdoors.
