Notre Dame Energy Week

The University of Notre Dame will host its seventh annual Notre Dame Energy Week from Sept. 29 through Oct. 4 (Sunday through Friday) at various campus locations.

Sponsored by the Student Advisory Board of the Center for Sustainable Energy at Notre Dame and greeND, Energy Week provides educational programs that promote general awareness and increased understanding of issues and topics related to sustainable energy.

Energy Week begins Sunday with schedules, T-shirts and other promotional materials being distributed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the LaFortune Student Center. Representatives from other companies and organizations, such as Current Motors, Home Energy, Inovateus Solar, Let’s Share the Sun Foundation and the University’s Office of Sustainability also will share their insights on sustainable energy.

Lectures throughout the week will include a keynote address on Subaru’s zero-waste facility by Craig Tapscott, environmental group leader from Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc., at noon Monday in the Stepan Center; a University Solar Energy lecture by T.
