IT'S FINALLY HERE!

The 13th annual Notre Dame Energy Week will be held September 9-16. Hosted by ND Energy and the Student Energy Board, Energy Week offers a wide range of educational programs geared toward the interests of the entire Notre Dame community and general public.

The week will include:

  • Presentations from experts in academia, industry, and government on topics such as the proposed plan by researchers to create an energy corridor for the U.S.-Mexico border, how Notre Dame has exceeded its goal on de-carbonization, and the latest developments in modular nuclear power. Participants will also hear from a Native American woman her story on how she was able to change the lives of several other American Indians through renewable and alternate energy projects. And the final talk will be from the mayor of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who will share the city’s plans to transition to 100% renewable energy over the next four years.
  • Campus facility tours for members of the Notre Dame community to the Power Plant, Stinson-Remick Solar Panels, and ND Energy’s Material Characterization Facility.
  • ND for the Environment showcased during Football Fridays at the Eck Visitors Center. Football fans and visitors will learn about Notre Dame’s initiatives to address environmental issues from research on renewable energy to educating the next generation of environmental leaders to ensuring sound stewardship and efficiencies on Notre Dame’s campus. Visitors will also enjoy the fun, food, and festivities akin to Football Fridays at Notre Dame.
