Dublin Summer Program 2019 Application Deadline

Dublin Summer

The Engineering Summer Program allows undergraduate engineering students the opportunity to experience Ireland to its fullest while taking both Risk Assessment for Engineers, taught by Professor Diogo Bolster of the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences and Integrated Engineering & Business Fundamentals, taught by Professor Michael Kitz, the director of the Integrated Engineering and Business Practices Program at Notre Dame.

The program is defined by the belief that cultural immersion animates the educational experience as much as classroom study. Students partake in a full cultural program, including field trips across the entire island, museum, theater, and gallery visits, guest lectures, sporting events, and musical and theatrical performances.

The program opens with a week based out of the Kylemore Abbey Global Center exploring Connemara and the western counties of Ireland. Students spend the following four weeks in Dublin, taking their courses at the Dublin Global Gateway with afternoon excursions in and around the greater county. The program ends with a week in Kilkenny, exploring the sunny south-east of Leinster.
