Dr Csaba Janaky

Dr. Csaba Janáky is an assistant professor at Department of Physical Chemistry and Materials Science, University of Szeged, Hungary. He is the principal investigator of the MTA-SZTE "Momentum” Photoelectrochemistry Research Group, supported by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the European Research Council (ERC-Stg). He is an emerging expert of materials science oriented electrochemistry and photoelectrochemistry. He has developed new (photo)electrode materials for energy applications, such as CO2 reduction, water oxidation, O2 reduction and H2 evolution. In total he published 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals including three review, two perspective, and one viewpoint articles, with an overall impact factor of 210.2. During the past four years, 7 of his articles were featured on the cover page of the respective journal. He is a regular participant of the most prestigious international conferences, and regular invited speaker of seminars, at different universities. His current research group has 3 permanent members, 5 PhD students, and 6 undergraduate students. He was the founding chairman of the European Young Chemists Network, the younger members division of EuCheMS. He is actively involved in other scientific activities, for example, he is a member the ACS Committee on International Activities and the President of the ACS Hungarian Chapter.
