ND Energy is pleased to announce and support the upcoming lunches surrounding the encyclical Laudato Si by Pope Francis. MARK YOUR CALENDAR and please plan to join us for reflection and community-building! Lunch and coffee will be served. Sponsored by the Minor in Sustainability, Center for Social Concerns, Environmental Change Initiative, GLOBES, and ND Energy. RSVPs are appreciated.

Friday September 11th at 12:30 PM
In this first inaugural meeting of our lunch series, we will be reading and discussing excerpts from the encyclical.
 
Friday September 25th at 12:30 PM
Our topic will be "a changing climate for business" and we will discuss the writings of some of the speakers at the upcoming Climate Investing conference. 
 
Friday October 16th at 12:30 PM
We will be discussing faith-based responses to environmental issues with a focus on the Catholic Climate Covenant and potential for its expanded role at Notre Dame. 
 
Friday October 30th at 12:30 PM (Note room change to 233 Geddes Hall)
We will be discussing the impact of sustainable neighborhood design on community health. 
 
Friday November 13th at 12:30 PM
We will be discussing trends in green jobs and the impact of partnerships between organized labor and the environmental movement. Co-sponsored by Higgins Labor Studies Program. 
 
Friday December 4th at 12:30 PM
We will be discussing the progress of the international climate negotiations in Paris.
