The UT Energy Forum is hosting a student research poster competition to promote and showcase cutting-edge research conducted by students around the nation within a variety of disciplines.

Nearly $10,000 in prizes will be awarded to students, with first place prizes of $2,000 for the best research poster in each of two competition categories: (1) science and engineering, and (2) policy, law, business, economics and the social sciences. In addition to the research competition, the forum also features two days of panel discussions, keynote presentations from energy thought leaders, and a number of networking opportunities.
 
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students from any academic field are invited to submit an abstract for consideration. Students will submit an abstract by December 20th, 2013 outlining their own energy-related research and will be notified before January 17th, 2014 if they are selected to participate in the research poster competition as a finalist. At the UT Energy Forum, students will present their research posters to an independent panel of judges from academia and industry. Cash prizes will be awarded to posters selected by the judges.
