The Postdoctoral Office at Argonne National Laboratory is pleased to invite postdoctoral researchers and advanced graduate students to participate in the 5^th Annual Postdoctoral Research Symposium to be held on Thursday September 20, 2012, at Argonne National Laboratory. New this year is the Postdoctoral Career Fair on Friday, September 21, 2012, now open to all symposium participants. A list of exhibiting companies will be updated as information becomes available.
 
Argonne is a Department of Energy national laboratory with over 300 postdoctoral scientists performing world-class research aimed at solving the nation's energy, environmental and security challenges. The Annual Postdoctoral Research Symposium provides an excellent opportunity for postdocs and senior-level graduate students to network and share their work with their peers and scientists from both Argonne and industry.
 
Contributions are welcome for presentations and posters in the following general areas:

  •  Chemistry and Biochemistry
  •  Engineering
  •  Environmental Science
  •  Materials Science
  •  Mathematics and Computer Science
  •  Physics and High Energy Physics
  •  Synchrotron Research
 
All abstracts MUST be submitted electronically. Deadline for registration has been extended to August 23, 2012.
