The University of Notre Dame’s Center for Research Computing (CRC) is hosting a half-day GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Day conference on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Eck Visitors Center located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame near the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. GIS Day includes lectures, a poster session, software demonstrations, a reception and giveaways. The focus of this year’s GIS Day is large scale modeling in the Great Lakes region. The keynote speakers are Dr. John M. Hamrick, Director, Water Resource Group, Tetra Tech Inc., and Dr. Anthony Vodacek, Associate Professor, Chester F.
