GIS Day

The University of Notre Dame’s Center for Research Computing (CRC) is hosting a half-day GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Day conference on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Eck Visitors Center located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame near the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. GIS Day includes lectures, a poster session, software demonstrations, a reception and giveaways. The focus of this year’s GIS Day is large scale modeling in the Great Lakes region. The keynote speakers are Dr. John M. Hamrick, Director, Water Resource Group, Tetra Tech Inc., and Dr. Anthony Vodacek, Associate Professor, Chester F. CALL FOR POSTERS:  Notre Dame faculty and students are encouraged to present posters during the poster session and lunch reception from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If interested, please send the title of your presentation on or before November 20, 2011 to:  Dilkushi Pitts, Research Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering and Geological Sciences or include the details at the time of registration: gisday2011.crc.nd.edu/register.
