Indiana has recently seen a surge of investment in data centers and associated energy production from major tech companies such as Amazon, thanks to favorable policy and environmental conditions at the state level. While these investments are good for economic growth, they can be a strain on the environment and use vast amounts of energy. In an event co-hosted by the Student Government Department of Sustainability and ND Energy, Mr. Bill Schalliol, Executive Director of Economic Development in St. Joseph County, will take us behind the scenes of the Indiana Enterprise Center and the process of balancing economic growth and potential environmental consequences.
This event is part of the Sustainability Cup competition sponsored by the Student Government’s Department of Sustainability.
