Sen. Richard Lugar toured the Notre Dame Energy Center and spoke with students and faculty about their energy-related research at Notre Dame. Senator Lugar then made a campus-wide presentation at 3:00 pm in Washington Hall on "Energy Security and U.S. Foreign Policy." During the presentation, he presented GreeND, a University of Notre Dame student organization, with the Energy Patriot Award, which honors a student, professional, scholar or member of the business community who has demonstrated leadership and initiative in taking concerete action to improve America's energy security.
