Materials Simulations Facility
Notre Dame has world-class expertise in classical and quantum mechanical simulations in the Colleges of Science and Engineering. The Materials Simulations Facility (also known as COMSEL—Computational Molecular Science and Engineering Laboratory) was completed in March 2011 and provides a unique, high quality, cross-college computational research and collaboration space for both scientists and engineers. The facility is charged with developing, managing and applying computational tool sets with principal investigators and provides the environment and the interactions necessary to multiply the impact of the existing, individual research programs.
